The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Bocce Club summer league concluded on Aug. 30 with the championship game between Ballz & Dolls and Boccelero Bandits. The match went three games, even with the threat of a monsoon storm fast approaching. In the end, the Ballz & Dolls clinched the title by winning the rubber match. The summer league was comprised of 16 teams across two nights of play. Although Monday teams had to reschedule a lot due to storms, everyone had fun participating. Other teams reaching the playoffs included: Rockin’ Rollers, Pallino Pals, The Big LeBocce, Bocce Ball Blasters, Fireballers, and Stingrays. A big thank you to our volunteer referees during the playoffs including Rami Mantoura, Milan Steube, Deb Sandin, and Rob Rizk.

The SBR Bocce Club has more than 456 members and always welcomes new members. Quarterly league play, the noncompetitive league, Bocce 101 classes, and social events are just part of the fun of joining.
