The SaddleBrooke Ranch Bocce Club held a fundraising charity event sponsoring Oracle Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation (OARR) on Sept. 9. Even though the weather was hot, 14 teams played multiple games to benefit OARR. In the end, Great Balls of Fire came out on top in the advanced category, and Ready to Roll won the novice category. Julie Hall and other representatives from OARR were in attendance and brought along the stars of the event—dogs Pepper, Lilly, and Jillian. At the end of the day, OARR was presented with a check totaling $3,400, which was the second-largest single-day fundraiser the club had for the year! The money was raised from entry fees, donations, and door prizes. We were also able to fill three vehicles to the brim with donated equipment and food. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event, volunteered during the day, or donated in any way!
