In its fifth year Club Expo is the one event during the year in which all the SBR clubs, organizations and fitness classes are invited to come together to explain and to show what they are all about and to hopefully interest other people in their particular activity. What is really special is that this event represents the best of SaddleBrooke Ranch and what we have to offer as a community to each other and those who visit. Each activity table is staffed by an SBR resident who is able to talk about or demonstrate their activity or club.
This year over 40 groups participated. Some of the new groups this year were Gathering Hearts, Writing for Publication, PetWise and Former Law Enforcement Professionals. There was a festive atmosphere with participants decorating their space and some groups offering candy and cookies. Even conflicting with some NFL playoff games this year we had a record crowd, which included new residents as well as visitors. Most of us realize that selecting a retirement community is more than picking out a new home. It is about the people that make up the community and how welcoming they are to others. Club Expo clearly demonstrates that SaddleBrooke Ranch is comprised of active people who love to share what they know with their neighbors. It has been heartwarming to see this event grow and expand over the years. Each year Club Expo continues to get better with more activities and more visitors to the event. Contributing to the overall success this year was the social media help from Linda Shannon-Hills and signage from Ken Levitt. Alex Baker, Andrea Marchus and the Bistro staff helped from the HOA side. Thanks goes to all participants and to those who helped make this a great success.
