Mark your calendars: The general meeting of the SBR Conservatives in Action will be Thursday, Oct. 24, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the SBR La Hacienda Clubhouse, La Mesa/La Montana Rooms.
Guest speakers will include:
Brad Miller—Candidate for Pinal County Attorney. Brad is committed to securing the border, funding the police, reducing crime, and is pro-life. Over 17+ years, Brad has served the people of Arizona in various capacities, including as a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps; a prosecutor in the Sex Crimes Bureau with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office; and a defender of civil and constitutional rights. For the past 7+ years, Brad has operated his own boutique law firm where he represents businesses, litigates real estate matters, and serves as a town attorney. During this time, he has mobilized twice with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal. He serves in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Brad resides with his family in the Florence, Ariz., area.
Dana Lewis—Candidate for Pinal County Recorder. In August 2022, Dana was unanimously appointed Recorder by the Pinal Co. Board of Supervisors. As Recorder, Dana has ensured all internal procedures are up-to-date and compliant with the Arizona Revised Statutes and Elections Procedurals Manual. She has improved security protocols with GPS-locked ballot transfer boxes, recorded surveillance of ballot drop boxes, and audit trail worksheets. Knowing the importance of election observers and workers, Dana invited all parties to be integrated into the early voting processes for Pinal County. She created the first Voter Education Working Group and meets monthly with area stakeholders of all parties. As Recorder, Dana addressed staff concerns related to compensation, professional development, and physical security. Dana sits on the AZ Secretary of State’s Committee for Election Official Certification Training, and is Vice Chair of Arizona’s Voter Information Database Steering Committee. She is a Certified Election Official for Arizona. Attending Auburn University, Dana obtained her Master’s Certificate in Election and Registration Administration. Dana began working for Pinal County in 2019 as an Election Specialist, and accepted the position of Assistant to the Recorder in January 2022. Dana resides with her family in Casa Grande, Ariz.
SBR Conservatives in Action meet the fourth Thursday of each month at 3:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the SBR La Hacienda Clubhouse (La Mesa/La Montana Rooms) and membership is open to women and men!
The mission of SBR Conservatives in Action is to educate and empower like-minded members to take action to further Conservative/Republican goals.
We hope you will join us each month as we welcome speakers and schedule special events that showcase a variety of political and human interest topics. We encourage our members to provide suggestions on growing our club in an atmosphere of camaraderie, learning, and outreach to our community.
