There is a community garden located at the end of Egret Trail in Unit 4C. For those experienced growers with a green thumb or for someone who just wants to try something new, this could be just what you are looking for. Arizona is known for its long growing season, so there are lots of possibilities.
Each box measures 6.3 x 3.4 feet and is in a raised bed near access to water. A box costs $50 per year. The lease agreement starts Feb. 1 and goes through Jan. 31 each year. There are 110 boxes. There is a limit of one box per household, and there aren’t many boxes left.
The area is gated, but it is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Oct. 16 to April 14, and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from April 15 to Oct. 15. If you are interested, there are a few other rules to note. More information and an application can be found on the SaddleBrooke Ranch HOA website at https://saddlebrookeranchhoa.org and under the “Things To Do” dropdown, click “Community Garden.”
If you haven’t seen the community garden yet, it is worth seeing. There are lots of beautiful plants and herbs growing.
