Halloween Spooktacular

Dan Malueg

SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings (SBWS) with conductor Jesus Jacquez will present a spooky concert on Halloween night including spine-chilling selections like “Night on Bald Mountain,” “Hall of the Mountain King,” “Music for a Darkened Theatre,” “The Skeleton Crawl,” “The Cave You Fear,” and other eerie pieces. Dancers from the University of Arizona will also perform. The concert is at 6 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the DesertView Performing Arts Center in SaddleBrooke. Tickets are $13.50 and are available through the DesertView Performing Arts Center.

If you are an active player or someone who used to play an instrument, SBWS is looking for you! SBWS is a no-audition ensemble that meets Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for rehearsal. Clarinet, trumpet, horn, trombone, and timpani players are especially needed.
