Happy Tail—Robbie’s Home Sweet Home

Robbie and Ingrid

Romayne Trudo

On July 4, 2023, Robbie was huddling in a doorway trying to hide from the frightening sounds of local fireworks. Fortunately he was rescued by SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue Network (SBPRN) volunteers. While we were trying to locate his owners, Oracle Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation (OARR) offered to foster him. After months of searching for his owners with no success, it was time to place him up for adoption. To help make Robbie a candidate for adoption he was neutered, vaccinated, and received basic training while in the care of OARR.

At two and a half years old, this handsome, 55-pound male Rottweiler/Lab mix needed a family that was accustomed to having a larger dog with lots of energy and curiosity. Thankfully, the perfect couple was in SaddleBrooke. Ingrid and Stan Schneiderman had recently lost their beloved dog, Cody, to cancer and were missing having a loving companion around the house. They reached out to SBPRN for details about Robbie and a meet and greet was scheduled. A trial adoption was arranged but it was only a few days into the trial when we received an email from Ingrid stating “let’s make this official!” You see, Robbie is a true ladies man and he stole Ingrid’s heart immediately. He has a wonderful, loving home with people who will make him the center of their universe.

A very special thank you goes out to Laurie Bryant and Julie Hall of OARR for all of their help boarding, training, and caring for Robbie for the past six months. This was a labor of love.
