The spirit of the holiday season will be amplified in the community of SaddleBrooke Ranch when friends and neighbors join together on Friday, December 14, as the SBR Carol Singers perform in the Sol Ballroom of our new Ranch House. Our SBR woodwind trio will play beforehand from 4:00 p.m. and then we will sing some of the most familiar Christmas and Hanukkah songs starting at 4:30 p.m. With at least ten tables seating ten set up, we want to hear the best “Twelve days….” ever! What used to be a dress rehearsal for the next day, has now become a very large union of voices and holiday spirit.
The main event for our seventh annual Carol Singing around the neighborhood will begin around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, when our group will gather at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Firehouse to begin our singing tour. Singers of every ability are encouraged to join us in our tour (preferably in a golf cart!). After singing some songs for the firemen and neighbors living nearby, we will start by heading north-east to Unit 46A, our first of up to a dozen stops on an ever-increasing tight schedule! We expect to enjoy a variety of liquid refreshments and goodies at each stop. The hosts for these stops invite the neighbors near their homes for holiday parties; these have become an integral part of the evening (we hope we won’t lose too many of the carol singers on our way round!). At our last stop, the carol singers will come inside to sing, and be joined by our wonderful woodwind trio again.
