Our Travel Talk Tuesday presenter on June 30 is SaddleBrooke (SBR) resident and Air Force photographer Rick Thompson. As a young kid, Rick developed a special interest and passion for airplanes. Rick received an undergraduate degree in photojournalism and after he retired in 2007 from his corporate work he returned to his photographic roots. He joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department as a photographer, which led to a photo position with the United States Coast Guard, then on to the United States Air Force.
Rick is a credentialed photographer by the U.S. Department of War and serves with Air Force Media at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. He has images and stories to share with us about working in front and behind the scenes that will mesmerize and amuse us. Also, as a published Travel & Leisure magazine photographer he will also share travel images, stories, and “how to’s” of travel photography with us as well as his top 10 travel destinations!
We hope you’ll be able to attend this special interest presentation on June 30 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the La Mesa Room.
We also look forward to you joining us for other future travel presentations. If you would like to be a presenter and/or help us coordinate “Travel Talk Tuesday” (TTT), please contact Wonona Davis at sbrtraveltalktuesday@gmail.com.
