On May 1, the SaddleBrooke Ranch Democrats hosted a May Day Collaboration and Dinner. Close to 150 people were in attendance and we celebrated International Workers’ Day in commemoration for the labor movement of the working class that originated back to 1886 in support of the 8 hours workday.

We heard from CD6 Congressional Candidate Joanna Mendoza who discussed many current issues including cuts to Veterans and Veteran Organizations and heard from Legislative District 17 Candidate Edgar Sota for Arizona Senate as well as Hollace Lyon Candidate for Arizona House and current incumbent Arizona House Candidate Kevin Volk. Their theme was affordable living for seniors and the next generation of working families including healthcare, utilities, and other rising cost items that are necessities.

We had a delicious dinner, camaraderie, education about issues, and an overall good time.

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Democrats welcome you and Independents. We meet on the third Tuesday of each month. For more information, contact sbrdems@gmail.com.
