We dance all summer
The Latin Rhythm Dance Club is SaddleBrooke’s premier dance club, offering professional-level classes in authentic Latin dance styles. These include Bachata, Bolero, Cha Cha, Cumbia, Merengue, Rumba, Salsa and Samba and others. Instruction is generally one hour in length, with a half hour of practice time afterwards.
Weekly Latin Dance Classes
Monday Basic Dance Classes meet in SB One Vermilion Room Mondays from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. except for the second Monday of each month (Bingo Day), when we meet at 3:00 p.m. the next day, Tuesday. We offer classes on a different dance style each month throughout the year. Yes, summers, too. Our professional-level classes are open to residents of SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch and are taught by SaddleBrooke residents Jeanny and Wally Mara.
Health studies suggest that dancing tones muscles, strengthens bones and improves flexibility. It can be good for seniors’ minds and balance as well.

Intermediate Dance Workshops are generally for those with previous dance experience. They meet Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 in the Vermilion Room. Enrollment is limited to 12, so please make reservations before the class meets!

As an essential part of our dance program, our classes are videoed and released as instructional DVDs by our talented videographer-member Carol Newhouse. All steps are broken down in detail making the DVDs perfect for learning the basics or for reviewing the entire class. These videos are available for a $10 donation to the Latin Rhythm Dance Club. Monthly Members’ Dance Parties
We DJ monthly evening dance parties in the Vermilion Room at SaddleBrooke One starting at 6:30 p.m. generally on the third Tuesday of each month. These dances are free for members and $10 for non-members. (SaddleBrookers: This pays your club dues for 2016, making you a member.) If you have often wondered what Latin dancing was like, our dance parties are the best way to find out. They’re friendly, social functions with the best dance music in SaddleBrooke!
