Mudslingers Pottery Club—Look and Learn

Claire’s pottery totem pole inspiration

Have you ever wanted to create your own pottery totem pole? Totem poles are one-of-a-kind creations that encompass an array of sizes, shapes, colors, and themes. You can stack smaller elements to make a bigger, taller piece. One of our potters, Claire Tietje, is doing just that. She made many creative pieces and is ready to assemble the pieces together. Claire is also one of our studio monitors and is known for her colorful owl creations (on display in our studio display window) and her genuine willingness to tutor other potters on making owls.

Just imagine what you can create. First, take the two intro classes. To enroll, drop by the studio during studio hours and provide your contact information on the signup sheet (located on the bulletin board). The cost is $40 for the two sessions. During that first session, you build your own pottery piece with the assistance of the class facilitator. The second session covers various glazing techniques showing how you can add your personal colors to your creation. When done, it’s yours to keep, whether you join Mudslingers or not.

Joining the club is easy after the intro classes. There is a $25 annual membership, which is good through calendar year 2022. This is 50% off the normal annual membership.
