Join Karen Doerzaph, our SaddleBrooke Ranch neighbor, for an unforgettable talk about her record-setting Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim (R2R2R) trek across the Grand Canyon!
In October 2024, Karen earned her place in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the oldest woman in the world to complete and record this epic double crossing on foot. Descending more than a mile into the canyon, crossing the Colorado River, climbing up the other side, then turning around and doing it all over again … all in one continuous journey that tested her strength, endurance, and spirit.
You’ll hear:

Karen will speak at our regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 3:30-5 p.m. in La Mesa/La Montana Rooms in La Hacienda Club. No fee and open to all SBR residents and their guests.
In other news, the club is expanding its reach to include conservation lands. Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, we will be known as the SaddleBrooke Ranch National Parks and Conservation Lands Club.
Our last scheduled meeting for 2026 is being held on Nov. 10 from 3:30-5 p.m. when we will hear and see photos from the club members who took the Acadia National Park trip in September.
