Interested in becoming a potter? Reserve your space for one of two upcoming intro classes, May 11 or June 8. Our intro classes are in high demand. Classes have been booked each month through April. In addition, our membership has grown with new potters for 2023. Stop by during studio hours and complete your enrollment for either the May or June session. The hand-building class starts at noon. The cost is $40. Approximately three to four weeks after attending your intro class, there is a session on glazing techniques, allowing you to put designer colors on your pottery piece (once your piece has been fired).
Your membership includes the opportunity to enroll in specialty workshops put on by our many skilled potters. Have you been captivated watching a piece of clay evolve into a beautiful creation on the pottery wheel? This is the place you want to be. Looking to sell your unique creation? Our display case gives you that opportunity.
Empty Bowls is just around the corner. Our potters worked for months creating bowls in all shapes, sizes, and design. All this in support of the Empty Bowls event, with the goal of raising funds to help feed those struggling with hunger. The fundraiser is on March 4, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For tickets, directions, and additional information, visit www.icstucson.org/empty-bowls. The entrance ticket allows the attendee to select a beautiful handmade pottery bowl to sample signature soups, breads, and desserts donated by local restaurants and food partners.
