On April 12 the Ranchette Putters hosted the Verde Sputters from SaddleBrooke. This is the first invitational hosted by the Ranchette Putters since the opening of the new putting green in December 2015 at SaddleBrooke Ranch.
On this beautiful and sunny morning 72 lady putters took their places on the putting green. It was a colorful event with all the green and pink shirts and a few very original hats. The putters were presented with a few challenge holes including putting between a pair of cowgirl boots and a wagon wheel obstacle. The event committee displayed its creativity and sense of humor with the set up.
After a morning of friendly competition the lady putters returned to the La Hacienda Club where a wonderful lunch was served, and the two clubs had the opportunity to socialize. Laughter could be heard throughout the clubhouse with some intermittent squeals as President Nancy Galant called out the winning raffle tickets.
Following the delicious lunch buffet prepared by Mary Le Compte and the Bistro staff, Statistician Jeannie Bianchini presented the awards. Prizes were given for Most Holes-in-one, Money Hole, and first, second and third lowest team scores.
The Ranchette Putters club members would like to thank the event committee for its time and talents to make this a fun and successful event. Event coordinator, Cindy Heck; obstacles and set-up, Debby Felzien and Corky Mansmith; indoor decorations, Dianne Bradley, Anne Terrell and Joanne Pritchard; registration and welcome, Kerstin Seifert, Karen Lanning, Lori Round and Peg Tomaso; score cards, Marian Bianchini.
Thank you to the Verde Sputters of SaddleBrooke for joining in this event.
