The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Ranchette Putters formed a club in 2014 with just a few members. Since then, we have reached a milestone of 200 members and counting. To celebrate, the Ranchette Putters held a special member tournament titled Bewitching Puttering Pumpkins.
Vicki Thompson, event chairman, and her committee organized the tournament with special Halloween-themed obstacles on the putting green. One hole had you putting with a witch’s broom. Other holes on the green had you putting through bats, rats, Day of the Dead skulls, and pumpkins. It was challenging, which had members moaning and groaning, but laughing in the end.
There were 79 members dressed in costumes to make the event even more festive. After the tournament, members headed over to the Ranch House Grill for a taco bar luncheon.
They were greeted by President Susie Morrell and beautifully decorated tables that had floral pumpkins as centerpieces, made by our very own member Sue Marx. These were then taken home by a member at each table. Several other members went home with wonderful door prizes.
Awards were handed out to the following for first-, second-, and third-place teams.
