Cutting the Cord and Home Automation SIGs in November
Linda Shannon-Hills
A special interest group (SIG) is a community within a larger organization that has a shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge, learning, or technology where members cooperate to affect or to produce solutions within their particular field, and may communicate, meet, and organize conferences.
The Cutting the Cord SIG has been very popular, so Richard Brosnahan will be holding a SIG session for previous attendees of the Cutting the Cord SIG to discuss the current status of streaming services and have members share their experiences when they “cut the cord.” Come on Friday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m. in the SBR Technology Club room. You must register to attend at www.sbrtechnology.club. You must be a member to attend.
The Home Automation SIG and Networking SIG will meet in November. Check the calendar on the Tech Club website at www.sbrtechnology.club for dates and time.
The SBR Technology Club is looking for interested residents to be on the SBR Technology Club board of directors. If you would like to join the team, contact Dave Richey (president) to add your name to the list for election.
Watch for more details on the SBR Technology Club general meeting in November. The topic will be announced on the club website.
