The SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association social committee has been busy planning mixers for fun and social camaraderie. On April 12, 36 players eagerly arrived at the newly opened pickleball complex to participate in the “Luck of the Draw” partner play social. Partners were assigned by the luck of the draw! The group enjoyed relaxed, fun play and the opportunity to make new friends. They all requested more play dates like this.
On Friday, May 20, we created our own little island paradise. Fifty players gathered for Aloha Pickleball. To create the Aloha spirit, players were dressed in aloha shirts, grass skirts, muumuus, board shorts and of course, court shoes. Players will tell you that playing in a grass skirt with the wind blowing adds new dimension and skill to your game. The Aloha spirit was flowing before, during and after event play.
