After a year off due to COVID restrictions, Saddlebrooke Ranch Tennis Association (SBRTA) held its 10th annual event honoring our founding member, Helge Steiness.
The Steiness, as we call it, was played over three days: Men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. As usual, the excellent support from so many spectators added to the fun and perhaps even sometimes to the standard of play.
The two teams were separated by the thinnest of margins after all the matches were counted. It was a very suitable ending to our friendly competition.
We held a reception dinner at The Chaparral Steakhouse, which Mrs. Krista Steiness attended. Our players’ excellent footwork was again put to the test as dance lessons were given to those unfamiliar with the country and western style.
