Our Tournament Sponsor was Weedbusters. Many people helped with this tournament: our Golf Pros, our VP,  the Social Committee, the SaddleBrooke Ranch Men’s Golf Association, our Treasurer, and the entire League Day Team.

Catalina Cup: The season wrapped up in May. Starting back in October 2023, our team played 11 matches at 11 locations throughout Southern Arizona. While we did not place, we made a gallant effort during the past 8 months. Now it’s on to the 2024-25 season!

We have one hot summer of golf ahead, with so many great and fun tournaments for the Ranch Women golfers.

What’s ahead: Red, White, & Blue Golf Tournament with the SBR Lady Niners on July 2, followed by a yummy ice cream sundae bar! That will be really refreshing.

Make an Impact: SBRWGA invites all SBR golfers to a charity golf scramble benefitting IMPACT of Southern Arizona, on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 8 a.m. shotgun start. Signups open in early July on Chelsea, $76/person (plus green fees for non-annuals), which includes lunch, cash hole-in-one prize, and fabulous raffle prizes. IMPACT of Southern Arizona is a local nonprofit that works to stabilize families and seniors and to move people out of poverty (impactsoaz.org). Be thinking about your foursomes so you’ll be ready when Chelsea opens. Our fundraising efforts include a raffle with great prizes. If you’d like to donate to the raffle, some ideas might be themed gift baskets, something made in one of our creative clubs (pottery, glasswork, jewelry, art pieces, quilting, sewing, woodworking), or gift certificates (wine, movies). If you will not be playing, we can use help on the day of the event. If you have questions, email [email protected].

Road trip: We’ve been invited to join the Mountain View/Preserve Women’s Golf Association for a fun day at the Beach Bums Tournament, on Aug. 20. We will be mixing partner twosomes with their twosomes for a Best Ball Format, and of course an Awards Luncheon at the MountainView Ballroom.

Join us for the fun and camaraderie! Email s[email protected] to learn more.
