SBRWGA Presents Most Improved Player Award

Every year, the SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association (SBRWGA) awards the Most Improved Player award to the member who has shaved the most strokes off of her handicap. All members know that winning this award is quite an accomplishment! This year’s award went to Evie Thompson.

Evie’s recipe for success is playing two to three days per week, taking some lessons, and taking advantage of the free clinics offered by our fabulous pros here at the Ranch.

Evie moved to the Ranch from Simi Valley, Calif., where she began golfing about 12 years ago. She started slow with some executive courses, moved to 9 holes at her home course, and eventually graduated to 18 holes. She found a great group of ladies to play with, and every Friday they enjoyed a round, and then headed to the clubhouse. They became known as the “Pitch and Sip” ladies.

Evie loves golf because she gets to enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air. She has found the SBRWGA to be a fun group that provides encouragement, tips, and lots of smiles. Congratulations Evie!
