Spring into Health at the Health & Wellness Fair on March 9!

Linda Shannon-Hills, SBR Health & Wellness Fair Committee

The Ranch is a very active and friendly community, but more and more residents are finding they need to find medical resources to maintain, improve, and thrive in their health and wellness. To meet the needs of our residents, SBR Neighbors Helping Neighbors is hosting the first SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Ranch House Sol Ballroom.

The health fair planning committee has been working to invite various health care and wellness providers to the Ranch so that our residents can learn about what services they provide and to have the opportunity to be more proactive about their health by participating in prevention services.

The fair will also have various screenings for residents, including glucose, blood pressure, medication review, and body mass index (BMI). Desert Life Pharmacy will bring students from the University of Arizona Pharmacy school to join registered nurses living at the Ranch to assist with these free screenings.

Our Ranch massage therapists will also be available at the fair for short massages.

* Desert Life Pharmacy will serve as our Platinum Sponsor.

Additional Sponsors include the following:

* Gold Sponsors—Desert Dermatology, Carbon Health Urgent Care, Home Instead in-home care, and Tucson Eye Care

* Silver Sponsors—La Posada at Pusch Ridge; NW Healthcare Home Health, Oro Valley Hospital, Pro-Active Physical Therapy, Right At Home, Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, and Village Medical Clinics

Other exhibitors include an allergy specialist, several assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, chiropractic, dermatology, in-home caregivers, hospice/palliative care, home safety, neurology, medical clinics, mental health, concierge physicians, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, medical equipment supplies, nutrition, oncology, orthopedics, pain management, pharmacy, physical therapy, private in-home chefs, pulmonary, urgent care, and vision/eye care.
