On Feb. 20, the Sol Ballroom was filled with Wine Club members enjoying the “Summer Down Under” wine dinner featuring New Zealand wines. With its diverse terroirs, New Zealand produces exceptional wines that reflect the unique climate and geography of the region.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, members clinked glasses with fellow diners and toasted to the magic of New Zealand’s wines and flavors.
Wine and food pairings included:
* McBride Sisters Pinot Gris served with a fruit skewer.
* Drylands Sauvignon Blanc served with a shredded summer salad.
* Loveblock Pinot Noir served with a chicken skewer and sweet mango/kiwi salsa.
* Duck Hunter Pinot Noir served with an herb-crusted lamb rack.
* McBride Sisters Brut Rose served with pavlova.
The event had some great items as giveaways. There were numerous winners of dinner gift certificates and bottles of wine.
Many thanks to the volunteer board, wine advisors, culinary advisors, committee members, and Ranch House staff who gave their time to make this event so successful.
The club’s next event is a wine tasting called “La Vida Loca” on Tuesday, April 16. Interested in joining?
