The SaddleBrooke Ranch Horseback Riding Group rode in two separate groups in the late afternoon of two beautiful days in early March. They were on a sunset ride through the Saguaro East National Park. It was thrilling to see the beauty of tall stands of saguaros marching across the landscape in the setting sun. The views of the Rincon mountains were equally magnificent and made all so glad to be in Arizona to enjoy this beautiful scenery on such a fine day.
The group was split on this occasion as there are only a limited number of riders allowed on the National Park trail at one time, so some of the group rode on Friday afternoon and others on Saturday afternoon. Happily, both groups had equally good weather and all really enjoyed the experience. The trail ride was conducted by Chris from the Rockin’ K Ranch. The group has ridden with this stable several times this year on various trails that they offer.
The group plans on one more ride in early April which will be the last for the spring season as it then becomes a bit too warm to ride and many of the trail horses leave for dude ranches up in Colorado for the summer. The group will resume rides in late September.
