Support Adopt-a-Family and Brighten the Holidays for Local Families

Kim Schweitzer

For the last 14 years, SaddleBrooke Ranch has participated in the “Adopt-a-Family” project sponsored by SaddleBrooke Community Outreach (SBCO).

We ask that Ranch residents choose an “angel” from our tree, which contains the name, age, size, and wish list of holiday items for a child or adult. The gift recipients are referred to us by Oracle school counselors. We won’t get the actual lists with gift requests until mid-November. On Nov. 8 and 15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., we will set up an “angel tree” at The Ranch House. On Nov. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon, we will set up a tree at La Hacienda Club.

Some people choose to donate money (checks should be payable to SaddleBrooke Community Outreach or SBCO). The preferred method of donation is via the SBCO website: www.community-outreach.org/donate.

Checks may be delivered to 61162 E. Arbor Basin Road (Kim Schweitzer’s house).

SBCO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization and your donation is tax-deductible. The tax ID for SaddleBrooke Community Outreach is 86-0843458. A receipt will be mailed to you.

Once all the angels are spoken for, the cash collected will go to purchase holiday gifts for children in our service area.

Please help. The need continues to be great. We are so privileged to live in this beautiful community, but many of our neighbors are not so lucky. Let’s do something to make someone else’s holiday special.

For more information, please contact the Adopt-a-Family Co-Chairs: Kim Schweitzer at [email protected] or Myriam Barthole at [email protected].

Thank you for your past generosity, and Happy Holidays to all!
