A new and different art class is being offered on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 4 p.m. by Christine Lytwynczuk. Think of the fun you will have while painting two tumblers or two wine glasses (which you will take home after the class) while enjoying the camaraderie of existing and new friends. All you have to do is bring your smile and libation of choice. Do not worry, you will not be drinking out of the tumblers or wine glasses you are painting!

We are pleased to introduce Christine to the SBR Art Club. She graduated cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and graduate classes in art teaching. She has more than 25 years of teaching experience. She now teaches both privately and at an art center.

Class description: Come have some fun painting on glass. Christine will provide detailed step-by-step instructions, teaching new brush strokes and techniques. The theme to be painted will be cherry blossoms. She uses special acrylic glass paint that will stay on your tumbler/wine glass permanently! It is even dishwasher safe. No previous experience is necessary.

Two glasses will be painted simultaneously, so you will leave with a pair. You have a choice of either two stemmed wine glasses or two non-stemmed tumbler glasses. So, if you do not want a wine glass, you can paint tumblers, which have beverage versatility. Please mark your choice of glass style on your check.
