An exciting new math curriculum has been implemented at Mountain Vista Elementary School in Oracle, grades kindergarten through 3rd grade. Dr. Carla Springer needs four volunteers to work each Monday, Tuesday or Thursday from 8:15-11:00 a.m. (with a break between classes). Volunteer tutors will help out as the teacher gives the lesson and as the children work problems alone or in groups.
Carla is now training the K-3 teachers on the new curriculum, which teaches math in a new and exciting way to our young students. This is a great opportunity to be part of something that promises to pay huge dividends in the future. Those interested should contact Carla at [email protected].
