Welcome New Neighbors

Rick Speiser moved into his new home in January 2024 on Cardinal Lane in Unit 18C from Wyoming. He has also lived in Colorado. He has friends living at the Ranch. Rick has two dogs.

Sandy and Mike Johnson closed in January but moved in late March 2024 from Issaquah, Wash., to their new home on Quartzite Road in Unit 17. They have also lived in Texas and Nevada. A recently retired nurse, Sandy did not want to be in the rain in her retirement. Mike enjoys golf and can play every day if he wants. Their adult daughter, Lauren, also lives with them.

Tanya and Shawn Powell closed on their new home in October 2023 in Unit 18C on E Flagstone. They will be seasonal residents, coming back and forth from Iowa. They are still working, and also have seven children and many grandbabies in Iowa. For years, they loved coming down to the Mesa area but decided they wanted a smaller town in the desert, and the Ranch fit the bill. They love the mountains, desert, and weather.

Carole and Bob Fixten closed on their new home in the Unit 14B Villas. They are seasonal residents from Estes Park, Colo., and owners of a jewelry store in Estes for over 40 years. They look forward to enjoying the amenities when at the Ranch.

Tom and Mary Jones (Mary not available for the photo) closed on their new home in Unit 18B on Travertine Street.

Welcome to our new homeowners moving into our beautiful community in the last few months. We have a wonderful welcome program for all new residents to SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR).

Each month, the Newcomers Welcome Volunteers hold a gathering for new homeowners and renters. You are invited to attend to learn more about our community. We take photographs of homeowners to be included in the SaddleBrooke Ranch Roundup newspaper. It is optional to have your photograph taken, but it is a good way to be introduced to the community.

We encourage all new residents to visit the SBR HOA Desk to meet Jamie Shipley, located at the opposite end of the Ranch House Grill, to receive their orientation information for SaddleBrooke Ranch. We also encourage renters to visit Jamie to receive a renter’s card to use at the fitness center and indoor pool. Jamie can register you with access to other HOA information.

The group of Newcomers Welcome Volunteers consists of SBR residents who enjoy meeting people and welcoming them to our community. They are active and enthusiastically involved with many of the clubs and organizations. Contact our group if you would like to become a Newcomer Welcome Volunteer.
