Why Dance?

Dance and exercise yourself to a strong heart and good health. Enjoy the company of others with music and movement. Dancing is good for you mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Learning the basics of dance can increase your confidence in a variety of situations without you realizing it. Take your mind off your feet, put a smile on your face, and have some fun!

Dance class is designed to get you moving and keep you moving. It will introduce you to the basics of not only footwork, but also body movement, and will tighten and strengthen your whole body. Without noticing, you will become more toned and will increase your endurance and stamina.

Dance is a great way to form new friendships and enjoy life in a positive way … and most important, you are not alone! There are others out there who share the common goal of living well and feeling good!

It’s never too late to learn something new and different! Dance classes here at SaddleBrooke Ranch are offered monthly. Ballroom and western dances include: waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha, night club, east coast swing, west coast swing, two step, quick step, and line dancing. Classes are offered at the beginner and intermediate levels at this time.

We here at the Ranch are so happy to have Richard Russell, western dance instructor, teaching all the western dance moves and line dances to our residents.

Richard comes from Montana and California and resides in Tucson. He has a tremendous passion for dance. He is a well-trained dancer who brings great energy and knowledge to the classes. Stop by and observe a class in the fitness center or join the many dances offered to all here at the Ranch Sol Ballroom.

The Ranch is also fortunate to have Christine Hoskins as ballroom instructor of 25 years, who has much experience competing, coaching, and instructing. She brings knowledge, talent, and passion to the classroom for all our residents.
