Another fun SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Art Club class was held on Oct. 11—wine glass painting! You may think this is not traditional art. Well, it isn’t. The SBR Art Club wants to bring different types of art classes to members. We have traditional art classes such as oil, acrylic, pastel, and drawing classes. We also have nontraditional art classes such as the wine glass painting class, which was held on Oct. 11.
In fact, it was a sip-and-paint class, and the 12 participants went home with two painted stemmed wine glasses or two tumblers. Everyone had fun and was pleased to take home their painted glasses to show off to friends.
This type of class, as well as past classes such as dying silk scarves, Canvas and Cocktails acrylic painting, tapestry mosaic panels, Zentangle, and mixed media, are all in the spirit of trying to bring different types of art classes to the members of the SBR Art Club. The intent is that members can find a variety of art classes to try and enjoy. In 2024, there will continue to be a combination of traditional and nontraditional art classes being offered.
Membership for the SBR Art Club in 2024 is available starting in December. The 2024 Membership Form can be located on GroupWorks on the Art Club site under the “About” tab. The annual membership fee for 2024 remains at $25. In order to take any class in 2024, the participant must be a member of the SBR Art Club.
