The SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association members had the opportunity to play in the two-day Del Sud tournament in March. The first day of the tournament was March 8. The day started out with a frost delay, but that didn’t stop 35 women from competing. After day one, Julie Ross and Susan Pharr were in the lead with a three under par net score.
On March 15, day two of the tournament, ladies were able to improve on any and all of their scores from the first day of the tournament. The weather was beautiful, and the competition was tight! There was a four-way tie for first place at the end of the day. Congratulations to Debbie Ferguson, Susan Pharr, Cheri Alfrey, and Karen Jordan on their eclectic score of 9 under par! After a few layers of scorecard playoffs, Karen Jordan edged out Cheri Alfrey by one stroke! Congratulations to Karen. She is a repeat champion for this event and won a $40 SBR gift card for her efforts.
