Observe Lunar Eclipse with the Astronomy Club

The moon moves right to left, passing through the penumbra and umbra.

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Astronomy Club will be at the Community Garden parking lot to observe the total lunar eclipse rising above the Catalinas on May 15, 2022. SaddleBrooke Ranch residents and their guests are invited to attend. Members will be there to share their telescopes and binoculars to watch as the Earth’s shadow moves across the craters, mountains, and maria of the Moon.

The event at the Garden will be from 7:15-8:45 p.m. The eclipse will begin at 7:28 p.m. Totality will be reached at 8:29 p.m. and end at 9:54 p.m. The eclipse will end at 12:57 a.m. Some of us may stay past 8:15 p.m. to observe deep sky objects under eclipse conditions. You are welcome to bring your telescope or binoculars.
