Eat, Drink, and Feel Irish with the Wine Club of SBR

Lorraine Evans and Peter Quilty celebrated the evening with true Irish charm.

Michele Musgrove

Shamrocks, shenanigans, and a wee bit of Irish luck graced us all at SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) on St. Patrick’s Day!

We enjoyed a rare treat as tales of fine wine were shared by Joe Czesnakowicz of Dry Creek Vineyard. Our own Ranch House Chefs outdid themselves by creating delicious small plates that complemented the wines perfectly!

These were our delightful food and wine pairings to make you salivate:

1st Pairing: Poached salmon with dill shallot cream cheese spread on water crackers. Dry Creek Chenin Blanc 2024.

2nd Pairing: Charred pineapple crostini with goat cheese spread and orange balsamic glaze. Dry Creek Fume Blanc 2024.

3rd Pairing: Spiced duck with Amarena cherry glaze. Dry Creek Mariner (Meritage) 2021.

4th Pairing: Chili rubbed smoked pork tenderloin with sweet barbecue glaze served with roasted poblano cornbread. Dry Creek Old Vine Zinfandel 2022.

The pot of gold at the end of this rainbow was a bounty of highly rated Dry Creek wines. They satisfied the palate on every level. It was a grand evening for sure! But as every Irishman knows, an evening is not complete without a toast or two.

May your glass always be full and your heart even fuller. And may you always find a reason to celebrate!
