During the COVID break and closure of the putting green, the Ranchette Putters Board was busy at work on procedures and projects.

Judie Townsend, club treasurer, undertook the major task of submitting the forms to register the club as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization. The bylaws were then amended to reflect the designation of a 501(c)(7) Social Club.

The board held several meetings to discuss how to assess dues for 2022. Since the pandemic shut down the club’s activities in early 2019, ongoing members were given credit for the remainder of the 2021 season and will be charged a reduced fee for 2022. Dues for 2022 will be $20 for ongoing full time members, $15 for ongoing part-time members, $40 for new full time members, and $25 for new part-time members.

Linda Sentivanac, club president, contacted our sister communities and scheduled these upcoming events for 2022: putting at SaddleBrooke HOA1 on April 4; hosting the MountainView Putters on Oct. 26; and putting at Quail Creek on Nov. 9. Additional fun activities, including holiday events, are also being planned.

The board also decided to continue acknowledging all the sponsors from 2019 without collecting sponsorship fees for 2022. Gold level sponsors who support our club include Angela G. Bevels, O.D., from Elite Dry Eye Spa, PLLC; Oracle Land & Homes, Les and Leslie Brown—the Sell, Buy and Rent Team; X-pert Automotive, Joe Pate; Golf Cars of Arizona, Allison Honeycutt; New York Life, Dennis Eckmeyer; and Chiropractic USA, Dr. Steve Watson. Silver tier sponsors include: Eckmeyer Insurance Services, Charlotte Eckmeyer; and Patrick Schaffer, DDS.

And now it’s time to see everyone on the green!
