This year the month of May mimicked March by ‘roaring in like a lion and leaving like a lamb’. Brave club members dressed in winter clothes and battled strong cold winds in the first 8:00 a.m. putting session of the season. Thankfully sunny skies followed, and putters enjoyed seasonably warm weather the rest of the month.
The Ranchette Putters are proud to announce this month’s winners for the most holes in one (six or more) and the first, second and third lowest average scores.
Three ladies rose to the weekly challenges in May and recorded some great scores. The third lowest average was turned in by Linda Thomson with 35.75. Terry Pendy landed in second place with an average of 35.5. A stellar putting performance put Alyce Grover on top with an average of 34.66.
Sinking the ball with one stroke takes a lot of talent and these ladies received prizes for their aces: Terry Pendy with nine; Janice Neal, Joann Pritchard, Linda Thomson and Evie Thompson with eight; Jeannie Bianchini, Alyce Grover, Kerstin Seifert and Evelyn Silver with six.
Ranchette Putters congratulates our May winners and invites all female residents of SBR to join us for a fun weekly event. Check out our bulletin board by the pro shop for more information or contact Marian Bianchini at [email protected].
