On the blustery morning of Sept. 14, and the calmer morning of Sept. 15, the ladies of the SBR Women’s Golf Association (SBRWGA) held its ninth annual Club Championship Tournament. Ladies 70+ years of age were automatically included in the Senior Club Championship bracket. Winners of the tournament were decided based on the combined scores over the two days of play. Forty-five ladies participated in the tournament.
For the fourth year in a row, Jean Cheszek was the prestigious Club Champion! She completed the two-day tournament with an impressive gross score of 146! Jean shot a gross score of 78 on the first day and was tied with both Karen Jorden and Jo Helms, but Jean was on fire on the second day, shooting an amazing gross score of 68! Congratulations Jean!
For the second year in a row, Mary Snowden won the Senior Club Championship! Mary shot a gross 83 on the first day, and returned on day two to shoot a solid score of 80 for a total gross score of 163. Congratulations Mary!
