The SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association (SBRWGA) has had an unusual year of golf play in 2021 due to both COVID-19 and several months of playing a golf course undergoing renovation efforts. With our golf course scheduled to reopen on Oct. 2, with fully resurfaced greens and other major improvements, the SBRWGA tournament committee has worked hard to schedule four major tournaments for the remaining three months of 2021. The following are the upcoming major tournaments for this calendar year:
Oct. 19: Telegraph Tournament a one-day net score competition organized by the Southern District Women’s Golf Association and played at the home golf courses of member clubs throughout Southern Arizona.
Oct. 25 through 26: Solheim Cup Tournament a two-day match play tournament where participants are divided into two equitable handicap teams for competitive matches.
Nov. 15 through 16: Club Championship a two-day golf tournament where gross scores are combined from both days of play. Ladies 70 years or older are automatically included in the Senior Club Championship bracket.
Dec. 7: Member-Member Tournament a one-day golf tournament that allows members to choose another member to be her partner in this low-net best ball event.
